I`m looking for a good anime. Do you know something legendary exept Evangelion and Miyazaki`s films.
What`s your favourite anime, that you can watch again and again?

Re: Anime: what do you watch?

Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls, definitely re-watch worthy, echhi, kinda harem, hilarious.

Renkin San-kyuu Magical? Pokaan, kinda stupid but humorous, hardly ecchi, cute, origin of Liru the Werewolf, as for replayability? Meh, personal preferences dictate this.

Re: Anime: what do you watch?

What anime do I watch? A lot, with different genres.
Favorite that I can watch over and over? One like that doesn't exist :D

Good anime in general?
Already mentioned NGE, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter (2011), Bakemonogatari series, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (and pretty much a lot from Gainax), Spice and Wolf, Black Lagoon, Hellsing, Eureka Seven, The Big O, Katanagatari, Berserk, Sakamichi no Apollon, Serial Experiments Lain, Hajime no Ippo, Claymore, Baccano, Shin Mazinger Shougeki! Z-hen, Inu x Boku SS... And so on, this list can go and go.

Big part of it is personal preference.
Mecha? Fantasy? Sci-fi? Slice of life? Comedy? Ecchi? For older audience? Hentai? (mkay, in this genre there are like 2-4 series that are good :p).

Also, I do not know of this 'legendary' anime you are talking about, but if I see legendary 10/10 anime, that makes me feel like there is no point in watching anything else - I will share that. :D

Can second these. Surprised you forgot about Kill La Kill (ignore the story, it's dumb/weird but actual events are pretty epic)

Anything Gundam made before the 90's (Ruling out temp gundams and chibi I believe).

Bleach was pretty good until the manga took forever to update and they had to do filler seasons.

DBZ is a classic, but I imagine hard to binge.

If they ever make a Berserk anime that makes it out of the fuckin golden age arc it'll be teh best evar.

Space Dandy's pretty fun, but if you're looking for something serious don't bother.

Ugh... I didn't forgot, wish I could.

It's not that manga took forever, it's just that anime covers too much and both manga/anime are weekly. Happens in almost every long TV series. Pierrot's fillers are just the worst garbage out there. One Piece is at ep 779 and so far fillers are good enough so it's hard to notice (not as much while reading manga). But, Bleach manga turned into such disappointing shit at one point... I am glad this series is over.

That's why DBZ Kai is out there.

They did, Berserk (2016)... Though, TV version compared to BD is visual shit.

Re: Anime: what do you watch?

Kinda strange 'Ghost in the Shell' wasn't mentioned here? Well, maybe it's too canon already, specially with the live action movie coming out and all that jazz.

Anyways, if you have seen it already and do like the animation and stuff you could go and check out 'Mamoru Oshii's' other works and he has done lots of stuff over the years...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mamoru_Oshii

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mamoru_Oshii_filmography

Another fine anime I watched in my youth I was 14 or so back then is the first 'Record of Lodoss War'. Back then it played on MTV, I think. Though, didn't ever watch it again now that I'm 31. Setting is fantasy and the animation is nice, but then you can't go looking for any deeper meaning in that film not like in 'Mamoru Oshii's' films where deeper meaning and some sort of critique of society and or religion is plastered all over.

Hope that helps! :D

Re: Anime: what do you watch?

Thank you all a lot!
Do you know something mystical and phlegmatic like "Mushishi"?

Re: Anime: what do you watch?

If you like Romeo and Juliet Ninja Style. Basilisk is a must watch. Its by far one of my favorite animes i've ever seen. Word of warning if you aren't into violent animes like Kenshin or Ninja Scroll this probably isn't for you.

Basilisk

As far as mystical animes go i haven't seen too many anime like Mushi shi. Its pretty unique from what i've seen. Miyazakis work is kinda similiar in regard to kami, but he just does movies.

Re: Anime: what do you watch?

Mushi-shi, now that was good... The Monogatari series would be pretty close, and there's The Mystic Archives of Dantalia as well.

Only other I've watched would be Angel Beats, but that's not really in the mystical genre. Watch it anyway though, it truly is legendary ^_^

Re: Anime: what do you watch?

Man Mushishi is amazing, such a relaxing adventure...

What I'm currently watching is an anime about fantasy World War I starred by a psychotic loli nazi with magical powers that is somehow both cute and evil as hell. Amazing contrast really.

Name: Youjo Senki.

Doesn't have an amazing premise, and people tend to dislike the way lips are drawn, but it's certainly an interesting watch. Don't be confused by the first episode, wait 'till the second to get some context. Music is top tier, animation is very decent, story mediocre but above all a really epic MC.

Re: Anime: what do you watch?

Watched Gantz:O yesterday, the 3D movie I mean. I don't know if it qualifies as an anime.
Pretty cool visuals, but little else. They could've made a gorgeous 3D porn with tenth of the efforts and it would've been better :)

It still qualifies as anime (animated).

I need to see Mushishi at some point.
Also, Youjo Senki... still wondering if I should give it a try (as I don't drop anything, even if it's a crap I watch it fully/whole season).

I can`t take 3D serious.
My brain see Tekken and wants to fight.
And 3D japanese boys make me think i`m watching a sweet dorama for cute girls :)

To all anime and netorare enthusiasts. There's an anime coming out in the summer that's literally called "Netsuzou Trap -NTR-".

So I am watching Youjo Senki right now or Saga of Tanya the Evil as it's called on Crunchyroll and... oh boy. So far this is great, enjoying the heck out of this.
No, this is not like Lucky Star, comparing LS to YS is like comparing stand-up comedy to brutality and madness of war (analogy very accurate xD)

Also, as someone mentioned weird lips... Well, Hellsing called and it's not amused :D

You mean this manga and this planned anime?
Sounds a lot like it will be packed with moral dilemmas over cheating topic... Sounds interesting enough to check out.
